This site was founded by Abirami Arumugam, RN – a Senior Registered Nurse with 26 years of continuous clinical experience at National Medical Institute of Science Research and Referral, one of India’s leading Government hospitals.
Abirami began her nursing career in 1999. Over the past two and a half decades, she has worked at the frontlines of clinical nursing – in all departments – and has spent years guiding nursing students and junior nurses through their careers, examinations, and professional decisions.
Global Nurse Guide was launched in January 2026 to bring that same guidance to internationally educated nurses around the world.
Our Mission Our content focuses on four major destination countries for internationally educated nurses: the United Kingdom (NHS pay bands, NMC registration, Health and Care Worker visa), the United States (NCLEX-RN, visa sponsorship, state licensing, hospital-specific guides), Canada (NNAS assessment, Express Entry healthcare category, provincial licensing), and Australia (AHPRA registration, ANMAC assessment, skilled migration visas). We also cover global nursing topics including English language test comparisons (OET vs IELTS), resume and interview preparation, travel nursing, remote nursing opportunities, and clinical skills guides.
